Hyannis- Authorities are searching for a person who is accused of sexually
assaulting a 6-year-old boy at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis, Barnstable police said. The assault happened late Saturday
morning by the police, according to police, who say the severity of the assault is unclear, but does sound serious."When we
arrived, there were police in the front, police in the back," said one woman. The boy, who is not from Cape Cod, was transported
to the hospital for evaluation. Officials say they are looking for surveillance video to help identify the suspect. Police
are still investagating.
BOSTON- In Saturday's memorial service, Dominique’s family and friends tried to come
to terms with her death by remembering how the young woman lived. Over 200 people came together at Milton High School to celebrate
the life of Dominique Samuels, a Milton native and graduate from the class of 2004. Police say the 19-year-old was killed.
Her body was burned and found Sunday at Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain. At the service, Dominique's loved ones said she
had an impact on everyone she met, making her death difficult to accept.
ROCKLAND- Route 3 South was closed for several hours early Sunday morning after a deadly
head on collision around 1 AM. According to state police, Patrick J. Byrne, 56, of Woburn was driving his Buick the wrong
way on the highway. He immediately crashed into a 2003 Pontiac sedan, which was being driven by Melissa L. Leminen, 26, of
Weymouth. Byrne was medflighted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he is said to be in serious condition.
STOUGHTON- Two families are homeless
after a three-alarm fire ripped through a duplex on Washington Street in Stoughton Saturday night. No one was injured during
the blaze, said the Stoughton Fire Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. But officials say they
have no reason to believe it is suspicious.
